Building on the longstanding collaboration between Sarawak Skills and the British High Commission (BHC), the UK–Sarawak GREAT Skills: Catalysing Partnership for Growth Workshop marked another step in strengthening their strategic partnership. The programme provided a platform for knowledge exchange and discussions on skills development to support Sarawak’s economic priorities.
The workshop brought together representatives from educational and training institutions, alongside industry members and strategic partners of Sarawak Skills, to exchange perspectives and explore opportunities for collaboration.

During the opening session, Mr Mohammad Isham bin Fauzi, Chief Strategy Officer of Sarawak Skills, delivered welcoming remarks on behalf of Sarawak Skills as an organising partner. Ms Amy Francis Najur, Chief People Officer of Sarawak Skills, subsequently delivered a presentation titled “Building Sarawak’s Workforce for Economic Transformation.”
Participants joined three brainstorming clusters focusing on financing and capacity building for high-impact sectors, green skills and professional pathways, and digital transformation, leadership and governance.

The workshop reinforced the ongoing collaborative efforts of Sarawak Skills and BHC, creating opportunities to develop new partnerships, strengthen workforce capabilities and advance skills development across priority sectors.
