On 27 June 2024, in line with its noble initiatives to foster the sustainable development of oil and natural gas resources, JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration (Malaysia) Limited (“JX Nippon”) presented Sarawak Skills with welding equipment amounting to RM100,000.
Held at the Automotive and Welding Institute of Sarawak (AWISAR), Mr. Katsunori Ozawa, Executive Officer, Chief Representative of Malaysia, and Managing Director of JX Nippon handed over the welding equipment to Mr. Hallman bin Sabri, Sarawak Skills’ Executive Director, and Chairman of the Federation of Malaysian Skills Development Centres (FMSDC). This momentous occasion was witnessed by Madam Anielia Anak Siam, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Sarawak (MEITD) who represented The Honourable Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Sarawak. AWISAR is part of the Sarawak Skills Group of Learning Institutions (Sarawak Skills).
Indeed, this latest development is a shining example of stakeholders working as one to facilitate the development of industry-relevant skill sets for the benefit of current and future generations of the workforce.
