About Us

Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS) – Sri Aman Branch was established on 15 February 2024 to provide industry-relevant skills programmes and training for the benefit of the local populace in Sri Aman and its neighboring region.

Our Mission & Vision

At Sarawak Skills Sri Aman, we aim to provide industry-relevant skills training and development programmes that empower the local community with practical knowledge and job-ready competencies.
Our vision is to be a catalyst for workforce transformation in Sri Aman and the surrounding regions—supporting economic development through skills, innovation, and opportunity.


Our Role in Industry & Education

As the latest addition to the Sarawak Skills network, Sri Aman branch is committed to bridging skills gaps and addressing the needs of both young learners and working adults. Our current and upcoming programmes include:

  • Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) – Electrical (Level 2)
    A foundational technical course currently being attended by 24 students.

  • Coming in 2025

    • Oil Palm Plantation (Level 3)

    • Computer System & Networking (Level 3)

In addition to full-time programmes, Sarawak Skills Sri Aman offers diverse short courses targeted at school leavers, professionals, and the general public, aiming to upskill the community in practical areas.


Short Courses & Community Engagement

We actively collaborate with MEITD and local stakeholders to offer Community Outreach programmes throughout Sri Aman District. Popular short courses include:

  • Microsoft Word & Excel

  • Microsoft PowerPoint & Communication Skills

  • Basic Electrical Wiring

  • Computer Repair & Maintenance

  • Usage & Maintenance of Advanced Oil Palm Cutting Tool

  • Basic Mushroom Cultivation

  • NFT Hydroponics, Ginger & Japanese Cucumber Fertigation

  • Aquaponics

These hands-on training sessions are tailored to promote entrepreneurship, enhance livelihoods, and foster self-reliance among participants.


Industry & Community Partnerships

Sarawak Skills Sri Aman works closely with key local government agencies such as the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA), Resident Office, and District Office.
We actively participate in various local initiatives including:

Sarawak Skills Sri Aman provides a variety of TVET programmes and short courses tailored to equip students, school leavers, working adults, and community members with industry-relevant skills for personal and professional development.

Entry Requirements:

  • Malaysian citizen

  • Aged 18 and above

  • SPM leaver

  • Literate in reading, writing, and arithmetic

  • Medically fit
