As a stakeholder in the transformation of Sarawak\u2019s digital, economic, and educational landscape, the Sarawak Skills Group of Learning Institutions (Sarawak Skills) has announced a series of staff talent development initiatives to support the Sarawak Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030) and the Sarawak Government\u2019s ongoing initiatives in carbon reduction emission.<\/p>

Commenting on the upcoming staff talent development initiatives, Mr. Hallman bin Sabri, Executive Director of Sarawak Skills highlighted, \u201cTen (10) teaching personnel from the Sarawak Skills Group of Learning Institutions will be embarking on Hydrogen Technology Training in the People\u2019s Republic of China. In this respect, we have selected relevant staff members from the Automotive and Welding Institute of Sarawak (AWISAR), i-CATS University College, and Sarawak Skills Kuching.\u201d<\/p>

He added, \u201cThe training will be held over a period of two weeks (from 21 April to 7 May 2024) at Foshan Polytechnic and Foshan Feichi Motor Technology Co. Ltd. in Foshan, Guangdong Province, China.\u201d<\/p>

Mr. Hallman bin Sabri, who is also the Chairman of the Federation of Malaysian Skills Development Centres (FMSDC) shared, \u201cFMSDC has a long-established relationship with HWK Aachen, Germany to enhance the competencies of trainers from the various skills development centres under the umbrella of FMSDC. In this respect, from 8 to 22 June 2024, fifteen (15) trainers, including three (3) trainers from Sarawak Skills will be in Germany for the Train-the-Trainer (TTT) MEISTER Mechatronic Programme.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cIndeed, for Sarawak Skills, the aforementioned staff talent development initiatives will go a long way towards supporting the noble course of human capital development for the betterment of current and future generations of the workforce in line with the Sarawak Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030),\u201d he continued.<\/p>
